The Gundam NEXT Future event reveals a new GunPla product from the Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island film. It has been decided that the RX-77-02 Guncannon will be making its debut in the High Grade 1/144 scale GunPla series soon! Not only that, the kit was also announced to be released as a regular retail model kit.

Gundam Information RX-77-02 Guncannon

The Guncannon is one of the E.F.S.F.’s combat support Mobile Suit models. Two units were deployed to the White Base. Kai piloted unit 104 while Hayato piloted unit 109. The unit piloted by Kai is equipped with large-caliber cannons capable of rapid-fire. whlle the pilloted by Hayato is equipped with Spray Missile Launchere for close-range support Amuro’s Gundam and Kai’s unit took off for a mission to clear out residual operatives on Alegranza Island. and both Kai and Hayato’s units were deployed during the secound landing on the island.

Valcan Gun

Two machine cannons are implemented on the side of the head. They physical projectiles and are used for ground attacks. close combat, and to keep targets in check.

Beam Rifle (Late Type)

Although its rapid fire capabilities are inferior to those of the Rifle equipped by the Gundam. It has a long effective range, high power, and reinforced sensores.

Spray Missile Launcher

These are 18-barrel Missile launchers that are equipped by exchanging them with the main cannons. They are mainly intended for close-range fire support.

Cannon

The cannons equipped on each of the shoulders are the Guncannon’s main armaments. They boast high firepower and rapid-fire abilities, and offer effective mid-range support.

Backpack

Different backpacks are used to equip the Cannons for medium-range support and Spray Missile Launchers for close-range support. The entire backpack is exchanged when replacing armaments to match the purpose of operations.
